Campus Cupboard

Due to our recent COVID-19 outbreak, we are doing our best to balance the need for basic services with our capacity to effectively respond amid so many facility shutdowns, particularly those that host some of our programs.  With this in mind, if you are looking to volunteer or you are in need of one or more of our services, please contact us directly in regard to our open hours and availability for a particular program, service, and/or host site.   We can best be reached by calling 612-217-4003 (leave a voicemail please) or by email at  Thank you for your kind understanding as we work together for good.

A 2012 on-campus survey indicated nearly 25% of the students regularly attended classes suffering from hunger, unable to afford to purchase on-campus meal options. One of our primary objectives is to help move people forward. With this in mind, in collaboration with our fine partner, Normandale Community College, we established the Campus Cupboard.  Our purpose is to offer hungry students with an array of delicious food products in order to alleviate on-campus hunger and to help to increase their ability to concentrate during classes.

good in the hood | Campus Cupboard VolunteersHow it Works

Students that have declared a need are able to receive up to 3 single serving GRAB N GO food items per day.  This past year the Campus Cupboard had over 5000 visits from over 750 unique students who declared a need for food support from this important program.  An additional benefit for students is the opportunity to give back as volunteers or by fulfilling required classroom service-learning hours through the Campus Cupboard. This is truly a win/win as the practical needs of the student body are met within the framework of growth, service-learning and personal development opportunities.

Days/Time: Open during the school year every: Monday-Thursday 7:30AM- 6:00PM Friday 7:30AM- 2:00PM
