Good in the ‘Hood 2020 MN FOODSHARE Campaign

You can show kindness and improve lives across your community today!

Let’s restock the shelves & help hurting families.

Nearly 1 in 11 Minnesotans experience food insecurity. And 12.5% of all children are
food insecure. This is even more critical now in response to COVID-19. You can help.

Minnesota FoodShare is the largest grassroots food and fund drive in the state has been extended through the end of April. You can support this effort by donating cash or food March 1 – April 30.

The easiest and most effective way to restock our food programs is by donating cash.
That’s because each dollar used by Good in the ‘Hood goes further than your own dollar
does in the grocery store.

Donations of food or household goods can be dropped off:

  • Tuesday, April 7, 12:00 – 2:00 at Cedar Valley location, 1630 East 90th Street, Bloomington, MN 55425
  • Wednesday-Thursday, April 8 – 9, 9:00 – 2:00 at our Fridley Warehouse, 8063 Ranchers Rd NE, Fridley, MN 55432

If you wish to donate food or household products, our most needed items are:
Proteins – canned meat (tuna, chicken, salmon), cereals, soups, easy-to-prepare dinner
mixes (Hamburger Helper), mixed nuts, granola bars, single-serving nonperishable items
for children, canned fruit/vegetables, and other shelf-stable items

Good in the ‘Hood Receives 2020 Best of Bloomington Award

Bloomington Award Program Honors the Achievement

BLOOMINGTON January 19, 2020 — Good in the ‘Hood has been selected for the 2020 Best of Bloomington Award in the Charitable Non-profit category by the Bloomington Award Program.

Each year, the Bloomington Award Program identifies companies that we believe have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category. These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and our community. These exceptional companies help make the Bloomington area a great place to live, work and play.

Various sources of information were gathered and analyzed to choose the winners in each category. The 2020 Bloomington Award Program focuses on quality, not quantity. Winners are determined based on the information gathered both internally by the Bloomington Award Program and data provided by third parties.

The Bloomington Award Program is an annual awards program honoring the achievements and accomplishments of local businesses throughout the Bloomington area. Recognition is given to those companies that have shown the ability to use their best practices and implemented programs to generate competitive advantages and long-term value.

We are honored to be the recipient of this prestigious award!
