Mothers and Children Food Assistance Program

Provides: Through two programs, provides supplemental USDA Commodity Food Package to women and children (breast feeding and non-breast feeding women one year postpartum, pregnant women, and children under 6; must not be receiving WIC) and seniors 60 years and older. There are several sites in the metro area. Call for information.

Salvation Army NEED Social Services

Service: Call one day in advance for an appointment. Other services include food, hygiene items, referrals for clothing, and some furniture assistance. For residents of North Minneapolis.

WIC Program (Women Infants Children)

Provides: Health and nutrition assessment; vouchers for quality food like milk, cheese, iron rich cereal, fruit juice, peanut butter and dry beans; information referral.
