Food in the ‘Hood

Getting enough to eat is a problem for the 15% of US households facing food insecurity. As if that weren’t bad enough, food insecurity with households having children is even significantly higher at nearly 21%. Good in the ‘Hood is pleased to be able to partner with Union Gospel Mission Twin Cities for this Hennepin county hunger relief and community outreach program. Our goal is for each registered family to receive high quality essential grocery items, a delicious hot meal, health and nutritional support, advocacy, the “Good News” and a personal touch of kindness from our amazing team of difference-makers.

How Does this Program Work?

If you have a willing heart we have a place for you. We have 2 primary shifts available at both our Bloomington and north Minneapolis sites:

First Shift: 12-4:00 pm (Bloomington) or 11-2:30 pm (North Minneapolis)

Second Shift: 4:30-9:30 pm (Bloomington) or 4-8:30 pm (North Minneapolis)
